Years back, inspired by a basket of home grown habaneros in the firehouse kitchen, and looking to make something new for his fellow firemen,  Captain Ange started experimenting with fruit salsas to add some variety to everyone’s diets. With feedback from colleagues as he developed the recipe, and requests for batches by family and friends, the hobby grew.
After retirement in 2017 Captain Ange decided to join the food business incubator at Cleveland Culinary Launch Kitchen to start producing his recipes and bring them to market. Thus Gourmet Firehouse Salsa was born!
