Sweet Bean – Single Origin – Bean to Bar – Honduras

Kristen and Bob, the owners of sweet bean share a passion for chocolate, but they each take it in different directions.

Kristen took a class on making bonbons and fell in love.  After learning the process of painting molds, she ran with it and began making edible works of art, becoming a chocolatier in her own right, with no signs of stopping.  These treats as well as our Custom made logo treats featuring Nosh Butter

Bob found fascination in the process of making chocolate from scratch. Roasting the beans from individual origins, then grinding and melanging them with sugar to bring out the natural flavor personalities, or terroir of each batch of beans.  Then tempering the chocolate and making unique Single Origin Bars

Together Bob and Kristen created Sweet Bean and have a shop on E 185th in the LaSalle building.
